Choosing a Psychological AME

How is an AME selected?
An AME is selected by agreement between the represented worker and the claims administrator or employer. Counsel should confirm the scope of the assignment and coordinate selection before an evaluation is scheduled.

Does QME experience automatically make someone the AME?
No. Dr. Nazarian’s QME experience informs her approach to medical legal assessment. Serving as AME still requires agreement on her selection for the particular matter.

Is an AME evaluation a therapy appointment?
An AME evaluation addresses the disputed assessment questions. It is distinct from treatment. Contact the practice to discuss the proposed assignment and its requirements.
