Dr. Nazarian holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and is licensed as a clinical psychologist in California (PSY 30440). She is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator, appointed to conduct independent psychological evaluations in workers' compensation matters. The two sides of her practice rest on the same foundation: careful assessment, precise clinical reasoning, and conclusions she is prepared to stand behind.
Her clinical practice centers on trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions, with adults, couples, adolescents, and families. The presentations she treats are often complex and overlapping: trauma that has settled into depression, anxiety maintained by the demands of a consequential life, relationships strained by grief or change. Treatment is planned individually, from a thorough understanding of the person, the history, and the circumstances, rather than drawn from a standard protocol.
Dr. Nazarian conducts the clinical work herself, from the first consultation through the course of treatment. Assessment is not a preliminary step but a continuing discipline: the formulation is tested against what emerges, and the plan is revised as the work deepens. The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and direct, and clients know what they are working on, and why.
Alongside her therapy practice, she provides independent psychological evaluations in personal injury and workers' compensation matters. That forensic work, which requires clinical findings to be formed carefully and stated precisely, informs the rigor of her treatment room.
